I was thinking of buying a set of mini xrt tires to run on the mini maxx for street tires Traxxas maxx tires so i have a traxxas maxx And i'm getting a little lost on tires The tires it comes with are 2.8 but all the 2.8 i've looked at are 12mm hex and the maxx uses 17mm All the 17mm hex i've seen are 3.8 tires won't running those larger tires overheat the motor? Has anyone put paddle tires on a mini maxx yet I want to run mine during an upcoming beach trip but i don't know what to put on it. Pro line trencher 3.8 lps are popular and are a direct replacement for the stock tires without needing to change offsets or gearing I've seen a few people running dboots backflip lps, but you either need to set your steering endpoints narrower (wider turning radius) or get some +10mm hubs because the arrma wheels have a different offset Gearing down a bit is also recommended because they are.
