Hi, recently purchased a home and having an issue with the main outdoor faucet for my hoses If i just turn on the faucet, water flows out normally Ask your do it yourself plumbing questions and get free answers as well as diy information about faucets, toilets, pumps and water filters from plumbers at plbg.com Assuming this valve is only used for running a single zone The internal vacuum breaker rubber seal is probably worn or damaged from debris It's an ez part to replace, you can just hand unscrew that black cap and the part is easy to replace
What's with all the christys tape Is that for freeze protection You might have a freeze damaged valve, but again could be just the easy replaceable. Is it similar with a valve like joey's? Tonight after i manually turned on one of my sprinkler zones for few minutes and after it was done i noticed that water was continuously leaking from the underneath the cap of the anti siphon valve. With a couple parts and two tools you are ready for an easy diy repair.
